What is Comvi?
Why are you called Comvi?
I put my siblings names together, and got to Comvi! So not only is it named after two of my favourite people it also sounds like "comfy"
What is your story?
Please check the about section here! It gives a really good rundown of how we spiralled to this point!
Why did you start?
Because I hated buying clothes, I had been a wheelchair user for 10 years and there was absolutely nothing out there for me, so I designed my own!
How crazy is it that it was actually easier to design my own clothes and set up a business, than it was to find adaptive clothing that worked
Who works at Comvi?
I would love to say that it’s all me, but that would be a lie!
It’s a collective effort to get the product in your hands!
All the design choices go through my friend who’s a fashion designer, she picks up on the things that I miss!
I designed the website myself, but always run the decisions past people more informed than me.
My incredible support workers help me pack orders, and any day to day jobs that require dexterity!
Are your products tested by wheelchair users?
Every product that we release has been thoroughly tested by myself, or other wheelchair uses in my life just to make sure that they actually work!
I feel confident that everything that we release has been properly tested, and the feedback that I get from customers is evidence of this!
Do you plan to release more styles?
Every single dollar goes into operative costs, and increasing the catalogue of products that we offer.
I don’t plan on taking any money out of the business for the foreseeable future!
I love this business, and I just want to make clothes that give people confidence
Products and Sizing
Who can benefit?
Our target market is wheelchair users, so the clothes can benefit anyone that spends long periods of time sitting in a wheelchair, or mobility device!
And anyone who requires adaptive features to maximise comfort and independence
What is adaptive clothing?
Adaptive clothing is clothing which has been designed to make life easier for those with disabilities, chronic illness, or limited mobility by modifying the features, fits or materials of the clothing
What are the adaptive features?
They can be found on the home page, and the specific features for a product can be found in the drop down bars of the product description
How do I know what size I am?
I have tried to make sizing as easy as possible, using an elastic waist. And all of our sizing information can be found here in the sizing page
Are they gender neutral?
I never designed the clothes with a gender in mind, however due to designing them more for myself - they lean more masculine!
It has not stopped women from buying them, and giving great feedback though! So please do not let me modelling them scare you off!
Your products are perfect except...
To make products with adaptive features, unfortunately by adding certain features, you actually exclude other individuals!
So from the start I had to have a set of values and ideas that I needed to make sure we’re aligned.
One day, in the not so distant future I hope to be able to offer more bespoke options, however, we are still growing into that!
Are adaptive clothes more expensive?
Comvi clothes aren’t, I made sure to keep the price point as low as possible.
There are major fashion brands with an adaptive range which have higher prices than us, and higher profit margins. But as a wheelchair user myself, I couldn’t look myself in the mirror if I felt like we were overcharging.
All of the money stays in the business, and goes towards operating costs, and expanding the range
Are these pants only for wheelchair users and those who use mobility devices?
Yes, they are shaped in a seated fit so that they are comfortable for sitting all day. And with this seated fit, they actually look very silly when worn standing up!
Why not just buy regular pants?
Comfort, and adaptive features!
You can always buy clothes intended for able bodied people, but once sitting all day, you will notice how uncomfortable they are!

How do I purchase your items through my NDIS package?

Is adaptive clothing considered assistive technology?
The NDIS definition of adaptive technology is:
"Assistive technology is equipment or devices that help you do things you can’t do because of your disability.
Assistive technology may also help you do something more easily or safely"
I feel like we fit very well into that definition!

Do I need a support letter?
I can’t speak to your individual plan about this.
You’re much better off talking to your occupational therapist, plan manager, or a support coordinator
But if they need a hand, please tell them to email me and I can send over any information!
Why are you not NDIS registered?
Trust me, I would love to be NDIS registered as soon as possible! And we will be eventually!
If you are completely agency managed, please send me an email and we will work something out!
Ordering, Shipping, Returns, and Exchanges
How do I return or exchange an order?

Do you ship internationally?
Yeah of course, but it will take a bit longer!

How long does shipping take?
I pack and ship orders the next business day after I have received payment, so from there it depends where in the world you are!
Do you offer express shipping?
Absolutely, because sometimes you need to get clothes as soon as possible for an event coming up!
Will I receive the tracking details?
This is all automated, so if you’ve entered the correct email address it should come straight to you as soon as I’ve booked the shipping!

Can I change my address after ordering?
Once the order is booked with Australia Post, unfortunately we can’t do that!
So please make sure that you enter the correct address!
Do you offer local pick up?
I absolutely do, we are located in Perth, Western Australia! And I can have an order ready within a few hours if you really need your clothes!
